Ophthalmosaurus was an Ichthyosaur from the Europe, and North American Ocean during the Jurassic. It had large eyes which allowed to see in the deep oceans. Ophthalmosaurus give birth to live young, but the mothers do not stay with them, but instead they rush to the surface of the water to get a gulp of fresh air and dive down to the safety of the deep ocean. These creatures where agile predators that hunted fish and squid. The most notable Ophthalmosaurus is Otto.
